Thanks to Femto-LASIK: say goodbye to glasses
A huge number of people have already opted for the Femto-LASIK method to lastingly correct visual impairments. This involves a laser eye operation that takes place without any mechanical cutting. Femto-LASIK is the best, most precise, safest and gentlest procedure in the field of modern eye correction and has replaced classic LASIK as the state-of-the-art treatment for visual impairments. If you too would like to say goodbye to glasses, then don’t hesitate to contact us at any time.
Femto-LASIK makes it possible: the scalpel-free way to clearer vision
Femto-LASIK is the world’s most frequently executed procedure for laser eye surgery and boasts a high rate of success. All the operational steps of the procedure are carried out with computer-precision by means of a laser. Even the preparation of the corneal flap – which is carried out using a scalpel in conventional LASIK surgery – can be executed with a high performance laser.
When you opt for a Femto-LASIK treatment, you can benefit from the following advantages:
Uniform, smooth, straight corneal flap
Tissue-sparing cornea removal
Precision in the treatment
Gentler and virtually pain-free
Faster visual recovery
Generally results in full sharpness of vision the following day
Avoidance of errors
No disruption to retinal circulation
No irregular flaps
Simple procedure in a safe, sterile environment
The lasik germany® centres specialise in eye operations with the various different LASIK methods and have performed countless successful treatments over the years. Dr Jörg Fischer, Medical Director of the lasik germany® centres, has been successfully using the Femto-LASIK procedure, amongst others, in his eye surgery for many years. Dr Fischer and his medical colleagues at the renowned lasik germany® centres count as “high-volume operators”, who perform over 1,000 LASIK eye operations independently each year.
The treatment - 3 steps to a better vision

1. The corneal flap is prepared by means of the femtosecond laser in the space of just a few minutes. This laser is individually adjusted for each eye. The precisely and gently prepared flap is lifted. Now the actual laser surgery begins.
Patients are not admitted to the clinic overnight, as Femto-LASIK is always carried out as an outpatient procedure.
Competent advisory services
This highly developed procedure uses exclusively state-of-the-art eye lasers. In order to identify the most suitable LASIK method, we carry out an individual and thorough preliminary examination. In a personal consultation, we discuss the next steps with the patient and provide him or her with detailed explanations of the LASIK procedure. Of course we also discuss possible LASIK risks and why laser eye surgery can involve higher costs than conventional eye surgery.
Don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested in a Femto-LASIK eye operation and would like to find out more. Of course you can also attend a non-binding information evening at one of our lasik germany® centres in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin, Oberhausen, Stuttgart or Munich. We will tell you everything you need to know! Telephone: 0800-599 599 9.
Femto LASIK – 10 Q&A´s:
LASIK is a type of laser eye surgery. For many years, it has been the generally accepted method for the treatment of refractive errors. LASIK is used by leading eye doctors worldwide. It is one of the most proven and most researched treatments.
LASIK is the result of cutting-edge technology. However, this method has been perfected even more in recent years. The result: Femto LASIK. There is one difference between LASIK and Femto LASIK: With LASIK, the eye surgeon prepares the eye with a mechanical microkeratome (a tiny scalpel), and with Femto LASIK all steps of the surgery are carried out with a computer-aided laser microkeratome.
No doctor is as precise as a computer. No microkeratome (a tiny scalpel) can be as precise as the bundled light of a laser. This combination – the precisely focused laser beam and the absolute precision of a computer – makes Femto LASIK the method of choice for vision correction.
The femtosecond laser is set for each eye individually. It works evenly and with high precision and is gentle to the corneal tissue. The risk of infection is extremely low as the procedure is carried out in a sterile environment, without direct human contact.
The safety of the femtosecond laser can also be measured in figures: The thickness of the corneal flap prepared by the femtosecond laser varies only by 5µm compared to approx. 50µm for standard LASIK.
The likelihood that your vision can be corrected with Femto LASIK, is extremely high: The method is suitable for 99% of all near- and farsighted patients.
Before we treat you, we carefully examine your eyes. This takes significantly longer than the surgery itself. For the Femto LASIK procedure we first prepare your eyes using a femtosecond laser. This is virtually painless. Then the excimer laser corrects both eyes, one after the other.
Before you have Femto LASIK eye surgery, your vision/prescription must be stable. Your eyes should be healthy without any acute eye disease (e.g. keratoconus). The procedure is not normally carried out during pregnancy or lactation. All patients must be at least 18 years of age, i.e. they must be adults.
You will normally be able to see clearly again within 24 hours after surgery. Without glasses, of course.
